Ravenscourt Currencies

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026. Notice version: rc-privacy-launch-v1.

1. About Ravenscourt

Ravenscourt Currencies Limited, company number 17503476, is registered in England and Wales at Suite 201F, 60 Frederick Street, Birmingham, B1 3HS.

This policy explains our use of personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a callback or give us an email-marketing preference. We determine how we use information for our own enquiries, correspondence and preferences and are the controller for those activities.

We act as an introducer. Foreign exchange and payment services for introduced customers are provided solely by Sciopay Ltd. Sciopay explains its own processing in its Privacy Policy.

2. Information we use

Our five callback forms require your name, telephone number and enquiry category. The category is selected by you or associated with the page you use. Email is optional. Home and Contact also allow an optional message; Contact allows an optional company name. We do not request a postcode through these forms.

We hold information you subsequently provide through calls or correspondence. Please avoid sending bank details, identity documents, sensitive personal information or unnecessary information about anyone else through an enquiry.

Website/security processing includes IP address, browser and connection signals, form/page source, security tokens, submission timing and identifiers used to reduce abuse and prevent duplicates. Some identifiers are hashed; hashing does not necessarily make them anonymous.

We record marketing selections and, for affirmative consent evidence, the supplied email, server submission timestamp, originating form/page and exact consent wording/version, with form and notice versions. These records help demonstrate what was agreed; they do not automatically enrol you or send an email. The server timestamp is not the time you ticked the checkbox.

3. Enquiries and callbacks

We use your details to understand and respond to your enquiry by telephone. Supplying optional email does not automatically change your requested response or give marketing permission. We use email for enquiry correspondence when you request or agree that arrangement. The website does not send an automatic acknowledgement email.

Our standard unanswered-callback sequence is working Days 1, 3 and 5, with a maximum of three unanswered attempts. Day 1 is the first working day on which we can reasonably handle the enquiry. Enquiries received outside our published hours, Monday–Friday 09:00–19:00 UK time, begin on the next working day. Weekends and applicable England and Wales bank holidays are excluded.

The standard sequence stops if you answer, request another arrangement or ask us not to contact you. We do not automatically switch to email or obtain contact details elsewhere. You can ask us to stop enquiry calls at any time.

4. Purposes and lawful bases

We rely on legitimate interests to respond to ordinary enquiries and requested callbacks: our interest is answering people who contact us and arranging the response they request. We limit the information and follow-up used for that purpose.

We separately rely on legitimate interests to protect our website and enquiry service against abuse, control submission rates and prevent duplicate deliveries, using proportionate technical information and limited retention. Necessary evidence and contact-restriction records serve distinct compliance purposes; retaining them does not authorise further contact or marketing.

We rely on consent for the optional email-marketing preference and any future marketing emails within its stated scope. Keeping necessary evidence of past consent or withdrawal is distinct from permission to continue sending marketing.

We do not treat a callback request as consent to unrelated marketing or assume it creates a contract with Ravenscourt. Sciopay's customer-verification and regulatory purposes are separate.

5. Service providers

We use Cloudflare for website hosting, server processing and security; Cloudflare Turnstile for anti-bot checks; Resend to deliver website enquiry emails; and IONOS to receive and store email correspondence. Each receives information relevant to its function.

The enquiry email contains your submitted details and relevant consent evidence. A valid optional email is used as Reply-To on the internal enquiry email; otherwise no enquirer Reply-To is added. Delivery is directed to Ravenscourt's mailbox, not to Sciopay or a marketing list.

Turnstile processes technical signals to protect websites and improve bot detection. Cloudflare's Turnstile notice describes a processor role for protecting customer websites and a controller role for improving detection. Not every provider activity is exclusively on our instructions.

6. Sciopay account opening and information from Sciopay

After speaking with a prospective client, we direct them to Sciopay's approved account-opening platform. The client enters their onboarding information directly into that platform. Ravenscourt does not routinely send website enquiry records, identity documents or onboarding information to Sciopay.

Our website launch scope covers enquiries and links through which clients enter information directly into Sciopay’s platform. We have decided to defer using identifiable client-status and trading reports until a separate privacy assessment has been completed. Any such information received outside the enquiry process must be assessed separately, with relevant privacy information provided before its use.

7. Optional email marketing

You can choose occasional emails about Ravenscourt Currencies Limited's foreign exchange and international payment introducer services. The checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. Your choice does not affect your callback request.

If you do not supply an email, selecting the checkbox does not establish email-marketing consent. We will not obtain an address elsewhere or treat a callback request or possession of an email address as marketing consent.

We record consent evidence but do not automatically add you to a mailing list. Marketing sending is currently disabled. Weekly market reviews are not included in the launch service.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@ravenscourtcurrencies.co.uk, or by replying to any future Ravenscourt marketing email with UNSUBSCRIBE. We also accept equivalent requests in ordinary words. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing or an enquiry response you still request. We retain only necessary evidence/restriction information to honour your choice.

8. Retention

For ordinary website enquiries that do not develop into an ongoing relationship, our schedule is three calendar months from recorded closure. We review records for deletion monthly; deletion may therefore take place at the next monthly review after the three-month point, subject to justified exceptions.

We close an enquiry when resolved or declined and no further action remains. If all three standard callback attempts go unanswered, closure is recorded after the final working-Day 5 attempt if nothing is outstanding. Where contact was established but the person subsequently stops responding, the separate inactivity rule is closure after 30 calendar days since our last substantive response or follow-up without a reply, provided no further action is planned. This does not restart the unanswered-callback sequence.

We keep necessary information longer where justified by an outstanding complaint, dispute, legal requirement or another documented continuing purpose, and review that justification. These exceptions do not authorise unwanted contact.

Consent evidence, withdrawals and do-not-contact records follow separate necessity-based criteria. We keep enough evidence while relying on consent and for a justified continuing need to demonstrate its history; we keep minimal restrictions while necessary to prevent renewed unwanted contact. Necessity is reviewed at least annually and sooner when circumstances change. Annual review is not automatic deletion or a statutory retention period.

Complaints and ongoing relationships are assessed according to the time needed to resolve the matter, meet applicable obligations and retain necessary dispute evidence. Sciopay's independent records and separately received reporting do not automatically follow the ordinary-enquiry schedule.

Technical rate records have a ten-minute logical window and duplicate-submission records a 24-hour logical window, followed by scheduled cleanup. These are not guarantees of immediate physical deletion. Provider logs, recovery systems and backups follow their applicable arrangements. Deletion from our active records does not mean every provider copy disappears immediately.

9. International processing

Resend's published documentation states that customer data is stored in the United States regardless of sending region. We do not promise that all website or email processing stays in the UK.

Cloudflare operates internationally, and information used for hosting, website processing and security may be processed or accessed outside the UK. For relevant transfers to Cloudflare, Inc. in the United States, we rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Where applicable transfers are not covered by UK adequacy arrangements, Cloudflare's contractual arrangements provide for standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum and protections for onward transfers, supported by technical and organisational security measures. This does not mean every Cloudflare subsidiary or overseas activity is covered by its US certification.

For direct receipt of enquiry email data by Resend in the United States, we rely on its verified UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework coverage. This statement concerns that transfer route; it does not describe every onward activity as covered by the certification.

You can contact us at info@ravenscourtcurrencies.co.uk for further information about relevant international-transfer safeguards, including how to obtain a copy where applicable, subject to necessary redactions protecting confidential information.

10. Your rights

Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, or receive certain information in a portable format. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Your right to object

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We must stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests, rights and freedoms, or need it for legal claims. You can simply ask us to stop enquiry calls; stopping contact and erasing every record are separate matters.

You have an absolute right to object to use of your personal information for direct marketing. You can use either withdrawal route in section 7. No particular legal wording is required.

Contact info@ravenscourtcurrencies.co.uk to exercise rights. We handle requests without undue delay and within applicable statutory deadlines, seeking only proportionate information where needed to identify records or verify identity.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office about our handling of personal information. You do not have to complain to us first.

11. Cookies, links and contact

Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies, including Cloudflare Turnstile’s browser signals and third-party local storage. Links to Sciopay and other external services take you to services with their own privacy and cookie information.
